The next meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2013 beginning at 5:30 pm at the office of Avalon Management, 31608 Railroad Canyon Road, Canyon Lake. The meeting is held in Executive Session which is limited to members concerning legal, member discipline or hearings, third party contracts and delinquent assessment accounts. Unless you have received notification that you are invited to this meeting, this meeting is closed to the membership, as has always been the case
with Executive Session meetings. The next Open Session meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 11 at 6:30 at Earl Warren Elementary School.

Station No. 97 located on Rosetta Canyon Drive in Rosetta Canyon is scheduled to open. The City of Lake Elsinore invites all community residents to the Grand Opening and Dedication for the Rosetta Canyon Fire Station scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 9 am until noon.
The City of Lake Elsinore will again provide a fun filled family evening with Movies in the Park. The movie scheduled for Rosetta Canyon Park is "Ice Age 3 Continental Drift" on August 2, 2013. The evening begins at 6:30 with games and the movie to follow at dark. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy a free family night at Rosetta Canyon Park.
After reviewing the process for homeowners who wish to paint portions of their home such as shutters or garage doors the exact colors as the original, the Board of Directors has decided that effective immediately, any homeowner who wishes to paint portions of their home the same as the original color, no paperwork or application to the Design Review Committee is needed. This will allow owners to move forward more quickly. Please note that it must be the original color only. Homeowners who vary from the original color may be cited. Thank you to those homeowners who have already submitted an application. The applications already received will be reviewed and you will receive a written decision. After much discussion, the Board of Directors has modified their meeting schedule. Open meetings of the Board will be held bi-monthly in the odd months. The next open meeting of the Board of Directors will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 6:30 pm at Earl Warren Elementary School.
Homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend all Open Session meetings. The Board will continue to meet monthly in Executive Session. Executive Session meetings are not open to the membership and are limited to discussion of member discipline, third party contracts, legal matters and
issues related to member accounts. Those meetings will continue to be at 5:30.

Board Members Adam Armit, Paul Suter and Linda Cooley were on hand at the Community Association's Institute (CAI) annual TOPs Awards Presentation to accept the Association of the Year (Large Category) recognition. Also pictured are Lana Hamadej of Avalon Management and CAI Chapter President Robert Riddick who presented the award to the association.
On Thursday, December 13, 2012, the Rosetta Canyon Community Association was awarded the Community Association of the Year in the Large Category from Community Associations Institute (CAI). On hand to receive the award were Linda Cooley, Paul Suter and Adam Armit, members of the Board of Directors. The award acknowledged the efforts of the board to maintain and even lower assessments, provide kid-friendly community events, and their diligent work on water conservation. The award was presented at the annual award ceremony sponsored by CAI.
CAI is a national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, competent, harmonious communities. Congratulations to Rosetta Canyon!
